The Premonition | By Banana Yoshimoto

I picked this book because it was recommended by one of my favorite Filipino artists. I was excited at first, and the story started off well. I enjoyed the writing and the direction, but things changed quickly—I became confused and somewhat put off, I can’t get over the taboo relationships – it’s disgusting!

Honestly, I expected to enjoy this more; it felt like the big reveal happened halfway through, leaving the rest of the story feeling flat. It amounted to very little in the end. I felt sad about the ending. :(
